MatchXR 2025: Nordic’s Leading XR and Immersive Tech Event Returns to Helsinki with a Global Line-Up of Visionary Speakers
MatchXR 2025, the Nordic region’s leading one-day event for immersive technologies, will take place on November 18, 2025, at Arabia Creative Campus in Helsinki.
The event brings together a global line-up of speakers, alongside top Finnish innovators, startups, researchers, investors, and public-sector representatives - all exploring the future of extended reality (XR), spatial computing, and digital interaction.
Positioned just ahead of Slush 2025, MatchXR serves as the central meeting point for the Nordic XR and Web3 community, highlighting Finland’s growing role as a world-class hub for immersive innovation and collaboration.
The program offers two stages filled with expert talks, keynotes, panels and workshops.
The roots of the event go back to 2017. This year's theme, artificial intelligence, is strongly reflected in the program. The event features a dynamic expo area and two stages. On the Main Stage, journalist and host Matti Riitakorpi will guide the audience into the future through keynotes and panel discussions. Among the speakers taking the stage are industry pioneer Dace Campbell, Epic Games’ Simon Blakeney, Member of the European Parliament Aura Salla, and Nokia’s Head of Multimedia Technologies Ville-Veikko Mattila.
A new addition to the program is the Focus Stage, hosted by Mia Backman, which offers short expert and case presentations throughout the day. Speakers include Anette Schaefer, Mika Karaila, and Thommen Lukose, and the stage program concludes with a Master Class session "Motorcycle Sculpture in XR" by Nick Gravely.
The evening will culminate in the MatchXR Awards Gala, where the best in the industry will be recognized for the first time in Finland. The competition features three categories:
- XR Content or Solution of the Year
- XR Collaborator
- XR Hall of Fame
The winners will be selected by an international jury, based on nominations submitted in advance. The gala is an invitation-only event, taking place at Aleksanterinsali Helsinki, starting at 6:30 PM.
