The second largest industrial subcontracting trade fair in Europe, and the largest industrial trade fair in Finland, Alihankinta and AlihankintaHEAT will be organized at Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre on 27–29th September 2022. The theme of the event will be Industry Appeal, Needs and Experts. The exhibition stands for this autumn's Alihankinta Subcontracting Trade Fair have been sold out, which means that approximately 1,000 exhibitors will attend this international event covering all exhibition halls of the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre. The Subcontracting Trade Fair 2022 partner for Alihankinta is Wärtsilä Finland Oy.
After two years of exceptional circumstances, everyone is looking forward to Alihankinta and AlihankintaHEAT 2022 with special enthusiasm. The event will be tightly structured around current themes, meaningful encounters and latest solutions.
– This autumn looks bright, and we are looking forward to having the fair. Pandemic times may have changed many practices, but people's need for face-to-face encounters has not stopped. This is why so many still attend trade fairs and other events; just look at Alihankinta that has been sold out. In addition to pre-booked appointments, live events enable random encounters and unexpected collaboration opportunities. This is not possible via Teams, for example. Of course, being together is an important value in and of itself. Our goal is to make this autumn's Alihankinta and AlihankintaHEAT event a place for meaningful encounters and a three-day industrial festival, where the famous positive subcontracting spirit of Tampere is ever-present, says Tanja Järvensivu, PR and Partnership Director of Tampere Trade Fairs Group and Project Manager for Alihankinta.
Industry Appeal, Needs and Experts as event theme – Wärtsilä Finland Oy as the Subcontracting Trade Fair partner
The theme of Alihankinta and AlihankintaHEAT 2022 will be Industry Appeal, Needs and Experts. The theme will showcase the current and future needs and prospects of industry on a broad scale. Debate-arousing perspectives include the appeal of industry and how to attract skilled workers, the importance of a new kind of cooperation, and challenges and changes arising from the volatile global situation.
On Tuesday 27th Sept, the programme will focus on the theme "Industry Appeal, Needs and Experts". The first day's programme includes the awarding of Subcontractor of the Year and Main Supplier of the Year by Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics LOGY. On Wednesday 28th Sept, the programme is titled "Industry Future and Current Challenges", discussing e.g., the effects of the Ukraine crisis, industrial supply shortages, cybersecurity and preparedness, and future changes in industry. Thursday 29th Sept will be "Shapers of the Future Thursday", with a content that highlights the appeal of industry, relevant topics for youth and students, and the importance of collaboration between schools, universities and companies.
The Subcontracting Trade Fair 2022 partner for Alihankinta 2022 will be Wärtsilä Finland Oy. Wärtsilä is a leading international supplier of innovative technologies and life cycle solutions in the marine and energy markets. In 2021, Wärtsilä's turnover was over EUR 4.8 billion.

Yes Full Circle’s Proteco division officially launched a pilot plug and play facility that provides integrated brand protection, secure destruction and closed loop/zero landfill recycling solutions.
The facility uses proprietary technology to provide full traceability to confirm and validate the entire destruction and recycling process (a global first). The audit trail is stored on Green Secure, a secure blockchain platform, enabling traceability from point of collection to final end point of material post destruction.
The launch event was attended by H.E. Low Pit Chen, Consul-General , Singapore Consulate-General in Dubai, along with a host of distinguished guests from the industry, business partners and media. Harbinder Singh and team welcomed the Consul General and other guests, who were given a tour of the innovative recycling facility, which leverages decades of international and practical experience in recycling, security and technology to offer end of life product/inventory management for businesses and government entities across sectors.
It is the only facility of its kind in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with 7 different technologies that are designed to process a variety of materials ranging from consumer to industrial goods to counterfeit and confiscated goods. In addition, it is a unique service with the capability to provide both onsite and offsite brand protection/destruction services; and is capable of same day live stream destruction.
The second phase of the facility involves the use of extended digitisation, AI and robotics, resulting in further game changing innovation, both upstream and downstream.
The facility is the first of 9 more facilities to be launched across the Middle East, including 3 in the UAE alone. A significantly larger circular economy/closed loop facility is expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2021.
H.E. Low Pit Chen, Singapore ‘s Consul-General commented: “It was indeed an eye opener for me to see first-hand the innovative solutions offered at Yes Full Circle Solutions. It plays an important role in promoting the concept of circular economy in the UAE and the region. I am happy to learn of its expansion plans which would spread the message of sustainability to more countries and people. I also see opportunities for Singapore enterprises in the environment space to collaborate with partners such as Proteco in introducing innovative solutions to this region.”
Harbinder Singh, Chairman of Yes Full Circle, said: “We are honoured by the presence of Singapore’s Consul- General H.E. Low Pit Chen whose message of cooperation and exchange of best practices between Singapore and the UAE epitomises the spirit of Yes Full Circle and its associate companies that operate across the world. We are proud to promote an honest and transparent brand of recycling in the UAE that puts brand protection, combined with a circular economy and zero landfill as its priority. We look forward to working with clients who share the same values and ethics.”
Yes Full Circle (YFC) is a Singapore based company with regional offices in Singapore, India and United Arab Emirates. Backed by Singaporean investors and family offices, YFC leverages its experience and technology to roll out unique, game changing, sustainable circular economy solutions. In Dubai, YFC’s Proteco division provides zero landfill brand protection services. In India, it has begun the rollout of tech platforms supporting circular economy ecosystem development across 4 cities in 2 states in a phased manner.
Brussels, 11 December 2017 - Good news for the Belgian BRM (Business Relationship Management) start-up Howaboutsales: due to solid interest from the investor community, the tech company launched a seed funding round at the beginning of this year and recently added some well-known names from the world of business angels to its list of investors (e.g. Netlog founders Toon Coppens & Lorenz Bogaert, Jonas D'Haenens and Wim Derkinderen). This summer, Howaboutsales achieved total fund raising of € 1.6 million. The investors were particularly interested in the potential of Howaboutsales, which proves that digitization offers new growth opportunities for companies that sell their products through sales partners or distributors. With the amount raised, Howaboutsales will expand its market position in indirect sales. A further rollout in Germany is also on the programme for this autumn.
Digitization for companies that work with intermediaries in, for example, financial services, has been going on for some time. The coming years will be crucial for intermediaries such as local brokers and bank branches to reconsider their role and recognize and prove their added value. Insights from the entrepreneurial world show that business partnerships have an annual growth of around 25% and that 1/3 of the income of many companies originates from their direct partner network. Still, 60% to 70% of these partnerships fail.* Howaboutsales developed a BRM (Business Relationship Management Software) that boosts the performance of intermediaries by digitizing the commercial relationship. On the basis of feedback from customers, Howaboutsales estimates a performance increase of between 10% and 20%.
*Harvard Business Review
€1.6 million after seed funding round with Belgian investors
In the first phase of its capital raising, Howaboutsales went to entrepreneurs and organizations, and only recently turned to professional investors. A conscious choice says Friedrich Pétré, CEO of Howaboutsales: "About a year and a half after our launch, we are still actively expanding our team. After an initial seed funding round late last year, we decided to raise even more financial resources to double our sales team and fine-tune the user experience of our product. At each investment phase we attach great importance to the belief and trust in our product. That is now the case again and we are very proud of our new ambassadors. "
Some well-known Belgian entrepreneurs-investors were convinced about Howaboutsales’ niche segment and the related market. Among these is Lorenz Bogaert (Netlog, Twoo, Realo): "I am investing in Howaboutsales because I believe in the uniqueness of the product. It is nice that they focus on an unexplored area and I think many changes are possible in the CRM and BRM market. I also have a very good feeling about the founders of Howaboutsales."
In addition to the contribution of these professional investors, Howaboutsales also received co-financing from PMV and Belfius bank and a subsidy from the city of Brussels on account of its innovative project.
Many companies have already taken a step in digitization by implementing a CRM system, which focuses on registering and maintaining customer data. Howaboutsales BRM software can be linked to an existing CRM system and can also be used separately.
"After listening to customers for a few years and consulting them, we saw that no other market player focused on digitizing the commercial relationship and the agreements made between head office and agent. Howaboutsales wants to acquire this niche, especially for customers who work with indirect sales," says CEO Friedrich Pétré.
